Your Radiator Needs to Be Maintained in Order to Function Properly

Given the extreme temperatures that your engine sees as it runs, it only makes sense that it would have its own cooling system built right into the vehicle. Your radiator is filled with a cooling fluid that is cycled through the system which maintains a normal operating temperature for your engine that keeps it from overheating and causing major damage.

Over time the coolant will get dirty and less effective. This aging can create sludge that can cause the system to gum up and fail. When this happens, it is important to take care of with a cooling system flush. A flush involves draining and disposing of the old coolant first. Then attaching a hose and power flushing the entire system to remove any remaining sludge, grime, or debris that may have been left behind. Finally, the system is refilled with all new coolant.

If your car, truck, or SUV is ready for cooling system maintenance, then bring it into our service center here at Mathews Newark Ford today.
